A TV analyst made an interesting statement crediting Asif Ali Zardari for promoting tourism in Pakistan.
Usman Dar, Advisor to PM Khan on Youth Affairs, shared a clip of an interesting conversation between analyst Saad Rasool and Habib Akram on the role of previous civilian governments in curbing terrorism and bolstering tourism in the country.
The conversation kicked on between the two analysts while discussing the UK’s latest upgrade in the travel advisory of Pakistan to ‘safe’.

Habib Akram said former President Asif Ali Zardari must be credited since he initiated the process of grand operations against militants in South Waziristan. He also credited former premier Nawaz Sharif for continuing the fight against terrorism in the country.
He said Nawaz Sharif worked tenaciously to restore peace in the country that led to its stability and positive image.
Habib Akram said compared to his predecessors, Prime Minister Imran Khan received a more stable Pakistan in terms of law and order as he did not have to face the crisis of militancy and terrorism. He said he has little part in the entire process of expanding tourism and enhancing security in the country.
Saad Rasool, however, countered Habib Akram’s assertions and said that it is the security forces of Pakistan that hold the credit of restoring peace and stability in the country.
Prime Minister Imran Khan must be appreciated for promoting the soft image of the country that lead to the expansion of tourism
He took a jibe at Habib Akram reminding him that rulers like Nawaz Shari and Asif Ali Zardari are only remembered for corruption, money laundering, countless properties, and luxurious Avenfield foreign apartments.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan must be appreciated for promoting the soft image of the country that lead to the expansion of tourism. He added that Khan’s government has introduced tourism-friendly policies that Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari failed to do.
British High Commission declared Pakistan safe for visit and travel for UK citizens in their latest travel advisory report. Positive travel advice is attributed to Pakistan’s improved security situation. The substantial upgrade in travel advice by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office followed a comprehensive analysis of Pakistan’s security situation as well.
