A report published in UAE’s leading media outlet claims Bollywood stars are forced to support the ruling dispensation of India- the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In case of refusal to support BJP and PM Modi- the Bollywood celebrities were warned of relentless social media diatribe from government-backed trolls and legion of BJP apologists.
The report says BJP covets for Bollywood-the agenda of BJP is to force Bollywood to align with its agenda. Also, celebrities should be ready to serve as electoral fodder otherwise they should face merciless trolling and polemic on social media- that will demonize them as anti-nationals and traitors. The BJP eyes for the Indian film industry because Bollywood has been serving the Indian soft image across the world for decades.

“While some B and C grade actors have jumped on board the BJP, the real superstars, the trinity of the Khans — Aamir, Shah Rukh and Salman — have kept the BJP and Modi at arm’s length,” read the report.
This report further claimed that the refusal to endorse BJP and PM Modi by three Big Khans of the Bollywood has divided the industry.

The report referred to the vehement tirade against actor Aamir Khan picked up following his meeting with Turkish First Lady Emine Erdogan. The Indian media went haywire while trolls bullied actors for meeting Emine Erdogan on social media. He was demonized as anti-national and traitor.
One of the panelists said, “When Khan talked about his wife leaving India in 2015, then maybe he must have thought of going to Turkey and settling down there.”
The report also quoted a close source of Aamir Khan who said that the actor was hurt due to the ongoing hysteria against him on social media. The source close to Khan said that he was “shocked and hurt by the attacks since as far as he knows India has friendly relations with Turkey. It was a courtesy call blown up to unreal proportions. This is the politics that they do. And, it has been going on for a while now. Khan prefers not to join the debate.”

The viral pictures of Aamir Khan meeting Turkish First Lady stirred a whirlwind of criticism against the actor in India. The furious fan and follower of Aamir Khan grievously slammed him for meeting Emine Erdogan because Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a staunch critic of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for stoking religious extremism and Islamophobia in India and for forcefully annexing Jammu Kashmir.
