The former Pakistani prime minister can allegedly be heard asking for help from a senior US politician amid an ongoing crackdown on his party following May 9 riots.

In the tweet, Imran Khan appreciated the efforts and courage of PTI leader and women. The video garnered millions of views within an hour of him posting on his Twitter account.

PML-N leader Javed Latif has strongly opposed the idea of “sending Imran Khan abroad”, warning against any such move. Meanwhile, PML-N Supreme leader Nawaz Sharif - who went to London for medical treatment - has not returned to Pakistan since 2019.

The prime minister expressed sympathies with the bereaved families and offered condolences, PM Office Media Wing said in a press release.
