Toyota Indus Motor Company came under fire on social media for gifting PMLN Vice President Maryam Nawaz Louis Vuitton bag.

The official social media account of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz shared pictures of Maryam Nawaz meeting the Chief Executive Officer Indus Motor Company Limited Ali Asghar Jamli and Vice Chairman Indus Motor Company Limited Mr.Shinji Yanagi. The meeting was held at Jati Umrah, Raiwind in Lahore.

In the picture, the CEO of Indus Motor was seen holding a bag of the expensive international brand Louis Vuitton. The meeting has left the social media users upset and disappointed.

A score of netizens said that the image did not set a positive image of the company and PMLN. Others asked why the company representatives are meeting a convict. Also, a party member is not part of the government.

They even asked why the company has gifted such an expensive bag to Maryam Nawaz. Netizens questioned the purpose of the company’s representative meeting Maryam Nawaz. They believe the meeting was embarrassing.

Social media users believe that Maryam Nawaz should not have received or gifted any gift.

Earlier in the day, PMLN Vice President Maryam Nawaz also met Norwegian Ambassador Mr. Per Albert Ilsaas. PMLN shared the pictures of the meeting in the picture. “The Ambassador of Norway, H.E. Mr. Per Albert Ilsaas met PMLN Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif at Jati Umrah today. Matters related to mutual interest were discussed in the meeting with particular emphasis on strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations,” read the tweet.

Netizens once again questioned the capacity in which Maryam Nawaz met the ambassador. The ambassador was also questioned by the netizen for meeting a convict who is out on bail.
