A score of social media users has shared the videos on TikTok publicizing about the visit of PM Shehbaz Sharif to the SCO Summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
The video is a compilation of the TikTokers talking about the meetings and engagements of Shehbaz Sharif at the summit. All these TikTokers have apparently a huge following.
Some Twitter users are alleging that these TikTokers are part of the PMLN media cell who are being paid apparently to do a campaign for Shehbaz Sharif. A Twitter user noted that all the TikTokers have posted similar content, praising Shehbaz Sharif. The video is heavily circulating on social media since yesterday.
Netizens are questioning the need for the government to run a campaign through TikTokers. Others opined that the campaign by TikTokers suggests that the visit of PM Shehbaz Sharif to the SCO summit failed. Some have accused the government of wasting taxpayer’s money on the promotional campaigns for Shehbaz Sharif. PMLN has not responded to the claims of running paid campaign for Shehbaz Sharif on TikTok.
