Turkish actor, Engin Altan Duzyatan, has finally revealed the release date of his new historic series, Barbaroslar, on his Instagram account.
The show will premiere on Thursday 16th September 2021. Engin Altan Duzyatan is popular for his role in another historic series, Dirilis Ertugrul. In the upcoming series, Engin Altan will play the titular character of the Hayreddin Barbarossa, an Ottoman corsair and later admiral of the Ottoman Navy at the time of Suleiman-the magnificent. Barbarossa’s naval victories secured Ottoman dominance over the Mediterranean during the 16th century.

Barbarossa is said to be the most feared pirate in the Mediterranean territories. No Spanish boats and ships were safe from him. He fearlessly hijacked ships and sacked ports. However, he was much more than a pirate. He was a skilled warrior with a political stint that led him to find a prosperous kingdom, allied with the Islamic empire of the Ottoman Turks.
According to some commentators, Hollywood movie, the antagonist of the Pirates of the Caribbean was inspired by the Hectar Barbarossa. It is said that Europeans feared his seamanship, his tactics of naval battles, and his skills as a warrior. He bravely sacked ports and captured ships from Italy and Spain who were out on the mission to capture Algiers and others parts of North Africa.
He was not only a pirate but a privateer as well. His political sagacity made him the king of the prosperous kingdom of Algiers, the chief admiral of the Ottoman Empire, and defied the attacks of the powerful Christian Spanish King and Holy Roman Emperor Charles V.

Earlier, Ertugrul star, Engin Altan Duzyatan, shared behind-the-scene pictures from his upcoming project ‘Barbaroslar’.
He posted his photo on his Instagram account with the caption “#Barbaroslar”. He also shared the picture of a clapperboard with the name written of the series, confirming the shooting of his upcoming series. Series ‘Barbaroslar’ had been in the news for quite some time but Duzyatan’s confirmation of the series has hit the floor with his latest Instagram posts.
His social media posts have left his fans excited as they are eagerly waiting to see Engin Altan Duzyatan back in action on screen.
