England’s Crystal Palace divided over Pak-Eng T20 World Cup 2022 final

Football players were asked to choose their team for the final. Pakistan and England will meet each other at the Melbourne Cricket Stadium in Australia on Sunday, November 13th in what some cricket fans say is a repeat of the 1992 World Cup.

England’s football club Crystal Palace is divided over the final between Pakistan-England T20 World Cup 2022.

Football players were asked to choose their team for the final. Pakistan and England will meet each other at the Melbourne Cricket Stadium in Australia on Sunday, November 13th in what some cricket fans say is a repeat of the 1992 World Cup that Pakistan won after defeating England in the final match.

Fans are hoping for history to repeat itself and win the T20 World Cup 2022. The Crystal Palace club was chosen because the club’s Head of the Sports Medicine Department Dr. Zafar Iqbal had helped Shaheen Shah Afridi to recover from his knee injury.  Pakistani pacer had suffered a knee injury back in July during the Test Match against Sri Lanka. He remained under the supervision of Dr. Zafar Iqbal for two months before joining the team for the T20 World Cup 2022.

In the video making rounds on social media, players were asked to pick their favorite team and it was a mixed response; some picked Pakistan while some supported England. One of the players said that if England bowls first it will win.

When asked by Dr. Zafar Iqbal he called for Pakistan. Pakistan’s iconic song Dil Dil Pakistan played at the end of the video. Dr. Zafar Iqbal said everyone thought Pakistan is down and out but here they are playing the final of the T20 World Cup 2022. He opened up his jacket to show he is wearing a Pakistan cricket jersey.

Crystal Palace’s medical staff though supported Pakistan to win the T20 World Cup 2022. He said they are supporting Pakistan because Dr. Zafar Iqbal helped their main man get fit for the T20 World Cup. “Hopefully, Pakistan win. Worked closely with Shaheen. Come on Pakistan!” one of them said.
