Due to the ongoing pandemic, the vehicle launch took place on Sunday, the 21st of March 2020. Hyundai’s new sedan in Pakistan, Elantra is a direct rival to Civic and Corolla in many countries, now including Pakistan. While we know it as Elantra, but in its hometown Korea and some other limited markets, it is known as Avante, Latin for ‘forward’.

Pakistan is reportedly receiving the 6th generation which came to the international markets in 2016 and 2017.

According to the launch, Pakistan is receiving only the “GLS” variant of the Elantra. However, the company is expected to introduce other variants in the future.

Here are the Features:

The sedan will have body-color bumpers and side mirrors, full tetra LED headlights and LED taillights. Shark-fin-antenna will also be available. Chrome door handles with welcome lights, chrome front grille, LED DRL will also be standard equipment.

The exterior color options are Polar White, Silver Metallic, Graphite Gray, Black Diamond, teal Blue, and Fiery Red.

Elantra Exterior

Only one Euro II compliant 2.0L MPI NA engine was shown. This is the same as the one offered in Hyundai’s Tucson and its sister car KIA Sportage as well.

The power performance of the car is 154 Horsepower at 6200 RPM and 195 Nm of torque at 4500 RPM.

The car will be a 6-speed Auto transmission with Economy, Sport, Smart, and Normal drive mode options.

Elantra will come with 50 liters of the fuel tank and has a trunk capacity of 407 Liters.

The car comes with a leather steering wheel with audio controls and voice command. It has central locking with a speed sensing door lock. The car also has a 4.2” TFT display in an instrumental panel with an Optitron meter+ Digital speedometer like Tucson.
