International headlines are being made by the just-released fifth season of the wildly successful Netflix royal drama The Crown, which stars Pakistan’s top actor Humayun Saeed as the Late Lady Diana’s boyfriend.
Saeed has played Dr. Hasnat, the late Princess Diana’s rumored beau, while Elizabeth Debicki has essayed the role of Diana in the show.
The London Nai Jaunga actor is being praised for his impeccable acting in The Crown, with some calling his performance “impressive”.

However, the 51-year-old came under the spotlight after episode 7 of the season was released in which he was spotted sharing an intimate kissing scene with Debicki.
Humayun Saeed has become a trend on Twitter after the clip of the steamy scene went viral on social media, with some users lashing out at the Pakistani actor for the scene.
Diana’s friends are reported to have described Hasnat as the “love of her life” and to have spoken of her distress when he ended their relationship in June 1997. He also attended Diana’s funeral ceremony as well.
Dr Hasnat Khan played by Humayun was not one of Diana’s many fleeting relationships; he was her ‘one true love,’ in her own words.
The couple’s romance is widely unspoken of. It had always been low profile and discreet, even as it progressed in the late 1990s. Their story, however, gained limelight after Netflix decided to lay bare the fallout of Di’s marriage to Charles in The Crown season five.

Amid all this, Pakistani superstar, Humayun Saeed, sent fans into a tizzy as he confirmed his role as Dr. Hasnat Khan in the upcoming installment of the show.
With The Crown season five all set to shed light on the explosive life of the former Princess of Wales, makers are tipped to showcase how Diana found love in ‘Mr. Wonderful.’
This is perhaps the first time a Pakistani local has been given the opportunity to play the role of Dr Hasnat Khan on-screen. Naturally, Humayun realizes the pressure on his shoulders.
Saeed has received appreciation as well as a flak for his role in The Crown season 5.

My only observation of Humayun Saeed in The Crown is that whenever Pakistani actresses have kissed onscreen they’ve been crucified for it but when a Pakistani man does it there are absolute *crickets*. The hypocrisy of our people is nauseating.
