Cricketer Imad Wasim hints at taking back his retirement in case Pakistan needs him. With the current T20I squad of Pakistan struggling against quality sides, arguments for the inclusion of experienced players in the teams have gained weight.
Imad Wasim expressed his plans to take back his retirement in case PCB calls him to play for the team. Pakistan is facing a challenge to build a formidable team ahead of this year’s T20I World Cup.
He expressed his intentions while talking to a local media outlet. “The decision I took, I was 100 % in it. But you never know when Pakistan needs you; you have to do something about it,” said Imad Wasim.
Wasim said he wants clarification regarding the status of senior players in the team.
“I want to clarify not as a captain but as a senior player about the direction the team wants to take, where I want to play or where a group of senior players want to take it,” he said.
He further said, “I want Pakistan to play cricket correctly and with the right blend. There’s no regret in retirement,”.
The cricketer said he is happy he is still playing cricket worldwide. Imad Wasim is actively taking part in the cricket leagues across the world. He is currently playing in the UAE T20 league.
