Islamabad to get world class Capital Walk Street

Chairman CDA, Noor ul Amin Mengla said that the successful bidder will be allowed to start operations in the area within a month. He said that the food area will also feature an amphitheater, a play area, and cultural points for visitors to enjoy.

The capital city Islamabad to soon get a Dubai-like Capital Walk Street. Capital Development Authority is in the works to build a world-class “Capital Walk Street” in Islamabad’s Shakarparian.

The new food street will be designed like popular streets in Dubai and Baku. According to the CDA officials, one kanal of land will be leased out to various global and local food chains. All the plots in Capital Food Street will be reserved for the food businesses only. The food street will be stretched over 25 acres, and 50% of the plot will be left open for visitors to enjoy.

Chairman CDA, Noor ul Amin Mengla said that the successful bidder will be allowed to start operations in the area within a month. He said that the food area will also feature an amphitheater, a play area, and cultural points for visitors to enjoy.

“The Capital Walk Street will offer a unique dining experience to the people of Islamabad. We aim to provide a safe and secure environment for visitors to enjoy delicious food and create lasting memories with their loved ones,” said Mengal.

The government believes the Capital Walk Street will be another tourist attraction in the city for local and international visitors. The decision has received widespread appreciation from the people and citizens of Islamabad.

They believe Capital Walk Street is the right step in making Islamabad a true world-class capital city.

Interestingly to note, the capital city is also getting an international football stadium. According to the official, the authority has approved multiple grand projects, including the construction of a state-of-the-art football stadium and Islamabad Bus Terminal. It was also reported that two expansive sites measuring 20 acres each, located near the Motorway (MI) and Kuri, had been proposed for these sporting arenas.

CDA had also chalked out a plan with the PCB for the construction of an international standard cricket stadium.
