Karachi Police Detain Infamous Lyari Gang War Commander

During the operation, Karachi Garden police arrested Faisal Mulla, a prominent commander of the Lyari gang war, after an encounter left him injured.

The Karachi police conducted a raid and apprehended a notorious criminal associated with the Lyari gang war, allegedly engaged in sectarian target killings, extortion, and acts of terrorism within the city, as reported by ARY News.

During the operation, Karachi Garden police arrested Faisal Mulla, a prominent commander of the Lyari gang war, after an encounter left him injured.

SSP City, Amjad Hayat, asserted that the arrested individual is implicated in sectarian target killings, extortion, terrorism, and other serious offenses, highlighting his status as a high-priority target for law enforcement.

Hayat disclosed that Mulla had affiliations with Lakho and Ayaz Zohri groups, actively involved in orchestrating grenade attacks and targeted killings, particularly targeting businessmen, builders, and shopkeepers who resisted extortion demands.

Furthermore, it was revealed that Mulla had been soliciting donations for religious groups since 2012 and later joined the Wasiullah Lakhu and Ayaz Zehri faction in 2015.

According to Hayat, Faisal Mulla conducted grenade attacks, targeted killings, and extortion activities with the assistance of individuals like Ashfaq Captain and Manoor.

Moreover, he was responsible for targeting political party members and Deoband religious scholars, with law enforcement recovering a hand grenade and a rifle from his possession.

Nevertheless, investigations into the accused’s activities are ongoing.
