KIA’s latest crossover Stonic spotted in Pakistan

The wrapped test units of KIA Stonic and Peugeot 2008 confirm that Lucky Motors is looking to launch these cars in Pakistan, adding to the crossover and hatchback sections of the market, respectively. The features of the KIA Stonic are worth looking at.

We all were already aware that KIA-Lucky Motors is bringing KIA Stonic in Pakistan, as earlier reported by the Global Village Space, however, now KIA Stonic has been seen camouflage wrapped similar to the one’s company used to market various Kia vehicles in the marketing campaign captioned ‘We are Unstoppable’ earlier this year.

However, SUV wrap is a green-blue color, as opposed to the red used in the campaign, with the words highlighting, “SUV for the City”, “Stonic”, and “Let’s Roll Wild”.

Earlier, in June, GVs had reported a blue Stonic SUV on Karachi Port, and similarly, Peugeot cars have also been seen under wraps this year, both to be launched by Lucky Motors in Pakistan.

So, what will Stonic offer if it comes to Pakistan?

It is a B-segment crossover SUV that could give competition to the popular sedans in the country along with its natural competitors MG ZS, Honda BR-V, and the awaited DFSK Glory 500, given the increasing trend of crossovers in Pakistan.

Let us see the features of KIA Stonic in the international market.

Engine Options

In the international market, the car was launched in 2017 and came in four engine options ie 1000cc turbocharged, 1200cc 4-Cylinder Naturally Aspirated, 1400cc 4-Cylinder Naturally Aspirated, and 1600cc 4-Cylinder Diesel Engine.

The KIA Stonic comes in four transmission options, i.e., 5-Speed Manual, 6-Speed Manual, 6-Speed Automatic, and 7-Speed DCT.
