‘Raess’ and ‘Verna’ actress Mahira Khan says she is extremely excited for 2018 as some interesting projects are scheduled next year.
“I am looking forward to 2018. I have some interesting projects lined up. I am doing a comedy film for the first time ever. I am nervous about it and excited as well. It is called Saat Din Mohabbat In for now.”
Mahira Khan suffered immense backlash on social media a few month ago when pictures of her smoking with the Indian actor Ranbir Kapoor were leaked on social media.
The actress is also busy these days shooting for rom-com “Maula Jatt” and is reuniting with her ‘Humsafar’ partner Fawad Khan on the big screen for the first time.
The actress said, “Yes, I am super thrilled about Maula Jatt, which is a Punjabi film and I unite with Fawad Khan after Humsafar.” The two are coming together after six years and she is already feeling the pressure. “We are expected to create the same magic like Humsafar, but the two projects – Maula Jatt and Humsafar are totally different.”

Despite experiencing the hostile environment in India, the actress is hopeful to work in the cross-border industry in future times.
She said, “I hope. The future generations should be able to see and collaborate and see peaceful times ahead.”
Despite going through unfortunate controversy on social media a few months back, the actress has not disconnected herself from her fans and followers.
These days, Mahira Khan is seen sharing her experiences of working on ‘Maula Jatt’ time and again on her social media accounts.

She candidly spoke about the experience that she says struck her bad but was not without lessons.

The actress said, “I have become unconsciously more conscious after that unfortunate incident.”

“Lot of realizations happened. One of those is what we have become as a society. With social media being an easily available tool, it is quick and easy for anyone to go out there and post something.”
She further added that “Yes you can connect with your fans and there’s positivity but then there are people who just write whatever they want,” she said adding that “these are the times we are living in.”
Mahira Khan said though she has an ‘I don’t care attitude’, she admitted that such incidents affect everyone.
