A young man in Karachi stabs fashion designer, Moazzam Khan, and his two sons in the city’s upscale area on a parking issue on Tuesday night. The video of the man hurling abuses at the designer and sons and attack them with the knife has been circulating on social media since Thursday.
The man named Ibrahim Durrani hit the designer and his two sons with the knife over a parking issue. A video circulating on social media shows both the parties had an argument in which Durrani hurled abuses and swear at the designer’s family. Unable to control his rage, he then stabbed them with a Swiss knife.
Durrani fled the scene after stabbing them. Sons, Fahad Moazzam and Ata Moazzam were shifted to hospital and were reportedly in stable condition. The incident is reported in Karachi’s Pakistan Air Force Complex housing society.

Later, Shara-e-Faisal police had registered the case of the attempt to murder Ibrahim Durrani under Section 324. “Whoever does any act so rashly or negligently as to endanger human life or the personal safety of others, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months, or with fine, or with both,” reads the section.

Police have booked Ibrahim and his father Khalid Durrani who is a government officer in the case.
Investigation officer, Israr Afridi, said police has raided the house of Ibrahim Durrani and interrogated his father. The police did not arrest Khalid Durrani as he was not seen in the video.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim Durrani has switched off his mobile phones deliberately to avoid arrest. However, efforts are underway to trace him through his mobile phone location and call records.

The disturbing video has caused an outrage on social media as internet users demand immediate arrest of the suspect in the case. They demand the justice system of Pakistan not to let the culprit walk away from the incident and punish him according to the law.
