They posted a message on their Twitter account. Mc Donalds will be offering only regular fries with the adjusted price.

Netizens have shocked after food chain Mc Donald’s announced that they will be sell only regular-size French fries in Pakistan.

The food chain said that they will not be serving medium or large fries but only regular fries for quite some time. They posted a message on their Twitter account. Mc Donalds will be offering only regular fries with the adjusted price. The company cited the supply-chain issue, however, this did not pacify the people.

“Due to unprecedented supply chain issues, we have to make tough decisions. For everyone to enjoy their favorite #McFries, we will only be serving regular fries for the time being. You can still order medium & large meals with regular fries &, of course, at adjusted prices,” said Mc Donalds in its tweet.

The tweet got mixed views on social media. Netizens believe that Mc Donalds after operating for years in Pakistan should try to use locally produced raw materials including potatoes for their products. Some targeted the sitting government for the decision taken by Mc Donalds.

“Golden Arches have been gracing us since 1998. So in roughly 23 years, 9 months or so there is no local potato source(could also be other ingredients)? It goes to show that whilst we are a great consumption conduit, we’ve rarely been a production one,” said a Twitter user.

Another one said: “We are witnessing the decline of Pakistan with every passing day and no one wants to do anything about it.” Others took a hilarious dig and tagged Finance Minister Miftah Ismail.
