Missing Pakistani mountaineers Shehroze Kashif, Fazal Ali located

Pakistani mountaineer Shehroze Kashif has become the youngest mountaineer to summit Nanga Parbat.

Pakistani mountaineers Shehroze Kashif and Fazal Ali were found a few hours after reports of them going missing emerged on Wednesday morning.

On Tuesday, Shehroze Kashif had become the youngest mountaineer in the world to scale Nanga Parbat the 9th highest mountain peak in the world. Reports emerged that the mountaineer lost contact when descending. In the morning they were seen descending from camp 4 through a telescope.

Gilgit Baltistan Home Secretary Iqbal Hussain Khan had confirmed that Shehroze Kashif and Fazal Ali had gone missing between Camp 3 and Camp 4 (7,000-8,000m). The GB government started rescue operations immediately.

On Wednesday, the Police officials present at Camp 3 said that telescope visuals showed that the mountaineers were descending from the summit and they were “okay.”

As per the information updates on the social media page of Shehroze Kashif both the mountaineers had “spent the night in the open to wait for the weather to get clear and resumed their descent early in the morning”.

“The duo is showing great resilience and willpower to manage things themselves in death zone and now approaching Camp 3 soon,” it added.

Pakistani mountaineer Shehroze Kashif has become the youngest mountaineer to summit Nanga Parbat. Nanga Parbat is the 9th highest mountain peak in the world and is included in the world’s 14 8000-ers peaks. Nanga Parbat scales up to 8,126 metres.

Kashif is also the youngest mountaineer in Pakistan. The young mountaineer is on the record to scale the 14 highest peaks in the world. He earlier summited K2 in Pakistan. He also scaled Everest, Kangchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Manaslu. He also scaled Broad Peak located in Pakistan.

Shehroze Kashif aims to become the youngest mountaineer in the world to summit all the highest 14 peaks in the world. He intends to summit five more peaks this year. But he fears he will not be able to reach his goal due to a lack of support from the government.
