Pakistan cricket team becomes first to score 100 wins in T20 matches

International Cricket Council announced the news on its official Twitter account on Sunday night.

Pakistan men’s cricket team has become the first to score 100 wins in the international T20 game on Sunday. Green shirts had defeated the South African team in a three-match T20I series at Qaddafi Stadium Lahore.

Pakistani cricket team defeated South Africa with four wickets. International Cricket Council announced the news on its official Twitter account on Sunday night.

“Victory in Lahore brings up the 100 for Pakistan. Pakistan is the first men’s team to reach a century of T20I wins,” said ICC. As per the record given by ESPN, Pakistan has played 164 matches up till now with 100 wins, 59 losses, three ties, and two no results.

 

The green side celebrated the victory over South Africa at home ground. The young cricketers recreated the famous ‘Pawri Ho Rhi Hai’ video from the field. Hassan Ali filmed the video while Pakistan Cricket Board uploaded the video on Twitter.

“Yeh mai hun, yeh meri team hai, aur hum series jeet ke parrrty kar rahay hain” (this is me, this is my team, and we are “parrrtying” after winning the series), said Ali in the video.

Pakistan has won two matches in the three-match series. Meanwhile, South Africa won the second T20 match on Saturday to avoid the whitewash. The guest team had defeated the hosts with six wickets.

Pakistan had already won the first T20 match on Thursday. The match was a close contest which the green shirts had won with three runs.

After winning the series, players and fans are now gearing up for the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League set to begin next week on February 20th.

According to sources, the opening ceremony of the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League will take place in the picturesque Istanbul. Singers of the recently released PSL anthem, Naseebo Lal, Aima Baig, and rappers Young Stunners’ Talha Anjum, and Talha Younis have already reached Turkey to shoot the opening ceremony, the sources revealed further.
