Pakistan visa can now be obtained online within 30 days

Pakistan has introduced online visa facility to promote tourism and foreign investments in the country.

Federal Minister for Interior Sheikh Rasheed in a press conference on July said that online visa service has been launched for the smooth issuance of visas. Pakistani visa can be obtained within 30 days through online application.

He said that through National Alien Card, the foreigners can now open a bank account, get a sim card, make investment, start a business and avail travel facilities.

Mr. Rasheed said that the foreigners can renew their visa by contacting interior ministry.

He also announced that Pakistan is going to register all foreigners in the country.

Pakistani visa for Chinese nationals

Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said the government has approved a new visa policy regarding China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects for Chinese nationals.

During a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong here Thursday, the Interior Minister said the minimum period of new visas for Chinese nationals has been set at two years under the new policy.

According to a statement issued by the Interior Ministry, the Minister and the Chinese Ambassador discussed issues of mutual interest including Pakistan-China bilateral relations, CPEC projects, Pak-China bilateral cooperation agreements and visa facilitation for Chinese citizens.
