PM Imran Khan shares his New Year 2021 Resolutions

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday shared his New Year resolutions on his social media platforms. He said that in 2021 Pakistan will be taking a few more steps towards becoming a welfare state. PM Imran Khan said the government is said to launch two more welfare projects under its ambitious and multi-dimensional Ehsaas program.

The two projects are universal health coverage and no one should sleep hungry. “2020 was a tough year for us and the people across the world because of COVID-19,” he reflected. “But, by the grace of God, we fared better than most. We not only managed to protect our people but also saved them from hunger,” said Imran Khan.

PM Khan added that his government is heading towards making a welfare state. He explained that the Ehsaas program provides social security and the health card scheme provides poor access to medical facilities.

“My New Year resolution for 2021 is to complete two projects. One, universal health coverage to all our citizens. It has begun in KP & will soon in Punjab & GB,” wrote Khan.

Khan asserted that he hopes that other provinces will also follow the initiative and provide relief to the downtrodden masses.

“We hope other provinces will replicate this prog. Two, we will start our most ambitious nationwide project “Koi Bhuka Na Soyay”(No one should sleep hungry in Pak) under Ehsaas prog. By the end of the yr these 2 projects will move us closer to our goal of making Pak a welfare state,” said Khan.

Chief Minister Usman Buzdar responded to the tweet of PM Khan and said that the Punjab government has launched the service in seven districts of the province and is serving nearly 500,000 families.

“Punjab Govt has already covered 50 Lac families under Sehat Sahulat Programme and starting “Universal Health Coverage” from the following 7 Districts, soon: Rajanpur, Layyah, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sahiwal, Pakpattan & Okara,” wrote CM Buzdar.
