Prime Minister Imran Khan has talked to Naseem Bibi and has instructed the authorities in Islamabad to provide all the basic facilities of life to the old lady who pleaded him to help her in a video that went viral a few days ago.
In a viral video, the woman explained to her ordeal that she has currently no proper shelter and is living in a makeshift road-side hut with no food and water. She stated that her husband has died and her son, who lives with his family in Rawalpindi does not want to keep her. She further said that her son-in-law objects on her living with them.
She pleaded Imran Khan to help her as she voted for him. PM Imran Khan, then, talked to her on a video call and expressed his remorse for her deplorable condition. Tehreek-I-Insaf’s leader, however, has confirmed that her son-in-law Chaudhry Imran had taken custody of her through the police while promising to take good care of her.
Soon after the instructions of Prime Minister Khan, the Islamabad Capital Development Authority made arrangement to shift her into the shelter home, to which the lady refused and insisted that she wants to live near-by her husband’s grave and that her living arrangements should be made there.
