She has been apparently been taken to DG Khan because the case has been filed there. She will be presented in the court there.

Senior politician and former minister Sheikh Rasheed of AML has condemned her arrest. While talking to ARY News he said that it seems the government has decided to resort to politics of confrontation and intimidation. Rasheed believes that matters will go worse with her arrest.

It is important to mention that Shireen Mazari had been aggressively questioning the role of state institutions in the toppling of the PTI government on social media. She had asked some ferocious statements in the past week.

Rasheed stated that the government has started arresting the PTI leaders in a bid to thwart the possible Long March towards Islamabad. Shahbaz Gill claims that a fake FIR has been registered against her and she is being targeted for voicing her concerns for rights.
