Social media users are slamming Pakistani actress Resham for throwing plastic waste in the river in the viral video.

The actress shared the video of throwing the pieces of raw meat and bread in the river to feed the aquatic animals from above the bridge while traveling to Charsadda. The video has been doing rounds on social media since yesterday. Netizens schooled the actress on the protection of marine life and how plastic waste is destroying marine life around the globe.

The disgruntled social media users commented that while Resham tried to keep the aquatic animals alive by feeding them, she also made sure they die by choking from plastic waste. Netizens also added that the same area is affected by floods, and many diseases are spreading in the area. People should be extra cautious in polluting the flood-affected area.

Celebrities like Nadia Afgan also called out the actress. Shaniera Akram, who actively worked for beach protection and cleanliness in Karachi, reacted to the video. Akram says she was disappointed when she saw the video.
