Salman Taseer’s daughter reminds PMLN how they harassed women for political agendas

Sara Taseer, the daughter of former governor of Punjab Salman Taseer took a jibe at Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s top leadership pertaining to the respect and sanctity of a woman. Taseer, in a series of tweets, questioned the morals of PML-N and recalled how the party had trashed women in the past for their own political agendas.

The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz was extremely agitated when National Accountability Bureau (NAB) sent notices to the daughters and wife of former Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif in the investigation of money laundering and assets beyond means cases.

She stated that the same leadership of PML-N also gave nod to the release the pictures of the women of her family to attack and manipulate her father Salman Taseer.

The top leadership of PMLN has been spewing harsh comments against NAB and the current government in their various press talks and TV talk shows. They claim that it is downright indignation to drag the women of the Sharif family in the courts and cases, while several men investigate them in a separate room for hours.

Sara Taseer then took to Twitter and recounted how PML-N during their rule had trashed and projected illicit behaviour towards women to pursue their political agendas. She talked about how Benazir Bhutto, former Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Jemima Khan, the first wife of Prime Minister Imran Khan were harassed at the hands of PML-N leadership.

She stated that the same leadership of PML-N also gave nod to the release the pictures of the women of her family to attack and manipulate her father Salman Taseer.

She also raised the question that which version of Islam or the constitution of Pakistan exempts women from the process of accountability if they are involved in illegal practices.

“Q to #PMLN: In which country, or in which version of Islam, or which para in the constitution of #Pakistan are females exempt from prosecution for corruption?”, she added further.
