Sania Mirza shed 26 Kg weight in 4 months

The Tennis star says she shed whopping 26 Kgs in 4 months- from 89 to 63 kilos. In a motivational Instagram post, she urged fans to follow their goals tenaciously as she did her to lose weight after the birth of their baby. Mirza tended her parental responsibilities and post-partum body for two years before returning to the tennis court.

Sania Mirza, the Indian Tennis star and wife of Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik, shared her inspirational pictures of weight loss in an Instagram post. Mirza says she shed whopping 26 Kgs in 4 months- from 89 to 63 kilos.

Sania Mirza took to Instagram and posted her images of before and after the weight loss. In a motivational Instagram post, she urged fans to follow their goals tenaciously as she did her to lose weight after the birth of their baby.

The player wrote, “89 kilos vs 63 we all have goals.. every day goals and long term goals .. take pride in each one do those .. it took me 4 months to achieve this goal of mine.”

She went on to say “to get back to being healthy and fit after having a baby .. feels like such a long way.to come back and regain fitness and being able to compete at the highest level again ..”

Adding that,  “Follow your dreams. No matter how many ppl tell you, you can’t cause God knows how many of those we have around us. if I can then anyone can.”

Sania Mirza gave birth to a beautiful baby boy Izhaan Mirza Malik in October 2018. She has resumed tennis after a break of two years.

Mirza tended her parental responsibilities for two years before returning to the tennis court. Hit with a knee injury in 2017 followed by a pregnancy, Sania Mirza has made her comeback after three years.

She went on maternity leave and underwent strenuous physical fitness to return to an optimal weight for a comeback.

In one of her interviews, Sania Mirza, a staunch advocate of women empowerment, said that she believed a woman should not forgo her ambitions even after embracing motherhood. Mirza emphasized how motherhood was the most endearing thing that happened to her, but that too was not without its costs.
