Shazia Marri puts her name on donated ambulances?

Azhar Mashwani seemingly accused Shazia Marri of taking credit for the ambulances by stamping her name on them. Shazia Marri responded by asserting that she did not personally have her name written on it. However, she did make efforts for securing the ambulance.

Azhar Mashwani, PTI official and Focal Person to Chief Minister Punjab, recently called out PPP MNA Shazia Atta Marri for allegedly putting her name on ambulances donated by Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL).

Taking to Twitter, Azhar Mashwani shared the images of the ambulances. He also seemingly accused Shazia Marri for taking credit for the ambulances by stamping her name on them. However, in reality, OGDCL donated the ambulances.

“OGDCL donated ambulances under Corporate Social Responsibility in Sanghar District, Sindh and Shazia Marri shamelessly put her name on ambulances,” the PTI official wrote.

Consequently, the PTI official’s criticism did not sit well with Twitteratis who immediately came to the PPP MNA’s defense. They stated that the ambulances were donated due to the efforts of Shazia Marri’s efforts. Therefore, she should be appreciated for it.

Shazia Marri responds to Azhar Mashwani

Important to note, Shazia Marri also took notice of Azhar Mashwani’s tweet and hit back. Firstly she highlighted that there is only one ambulance and not two as Azhar Mashwani claimed.

Secondly, she asserted that she did not personally have her name written on it. However, she did make efforts for securing the ambulance for the remote area.

“I did not have my name written on it since I don’t micromanage. But yes, I definitely made efforts to secure it for our remote area,” Shazia Marri said in her statement.

She also advised Azhar Mashwani against “petty point-scoring” as the ambulances are catering to the needs of the ailing.

Lastly, Shazia Marri lambasted PM Imran Khan by calling him “shameless.” Amid heavy accusations against PM Khan, Shazia Marri also accused him of inaugurating projects not belonging to him.

To clarify, PM Khan Friday officially inaugurated the Green Line Bus in Karachi. The launch sparked an immense backlash from PML-N as it accused PTI of taking credit.

PML-N’s federal government initially announced the Green Line project back in 2014. Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif performed the groundbreaking of Karachi’s first modern transport project in 2016.

Due to this, PML-N claims that it is responsible for the project and accuses the PTI government of wrongly taking credit. PML-N also announced that it will hold a separate symbolic inauguration of the project.
