Teenage girl stabbed to death with multiple attacks in India

The entire incident was captured on the video of the CCTV camera. The horrific incident has again sparked the debate on the safety and security of the woman in the country.

A teenage girl was stabbed to death with knife attacks in a harrowing incident reported in New Delhi, India. A 16-year-old girl was attacked with a knife in the alleyway of a busy road in New Delhi. The passerby walk past the incident but did not attempt to save the girl.

The entire incident was captured on the video of the CCTV camera. The horrific incident has again sparked the debate on the safety and security of the woman in the country.

The video has also triggered questions on the humanitarian crisis regarding the apathy of the people walking by the place but no one attempting to save the girl.

Only one man attempted to intervene to stop the assault but quickly retreated.

The body of the woman has not been identified yet. After attacking with a knife, the attacker also tried to crush her head and face.

On Monday, Police claimed to have arrested the attacked Sahil who is a mechanic by profession. The incident has been described as a “crime of passion”.

The grieved father of the girl laments no to trying to help his daughter.  “I saw my daughter was lying on the ground, with her face to the ground,” the girl’s father, Janak Raj, told CNN.

“Her organs had come out and her head had been smashed in. She lay there lifeless. There was no point in taking her to the hospital,” he added while talking to the media.

“It angers me to know that no one helped my daughter,” he added. The father of the girl added that she was a good child who was taking care of her family by earning money. “I miss her so much. She was such a good child. What do I do? he said.”

The incident is the most recent in the long line of rapes and murders of women in India. It also opens debate regarding the efforts made by India to protect women and also to convict the perpetrators.
