Twitter urged to take action against Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s account

Former federal minister Zartaj Gul Wazir slammed Fazlur Rehman and also asked the social media company to take an action against his account.

JUI-F and PDM leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman is garnering intense criticism on social media following his video message targetting PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

PTI leader Zartaj Gul Wazir has even asked Twitter to take action against the account run by JUI-F Chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman over spreading false allegations against the former premier.

Former federal minister Zartaj Gul Wazir slammed Fazlur Rehman and also asked the social media company to take an action against his account.

“Hello, Twitter. This account @MaulanaOfficial is promoting religious hatred and inciting violence against the former Prime Minister of Pakistan and leveling false allegations. Urgently require your attention, intervention,” Zartaj Gul tweeted.

Following his comments, Maulana Fazlur Rehman is being criticized by netizens. A social media campaign is also being run against the PDM leader.

Reacting to Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s statements, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said the JUI-F Chief single-handedly destroyed his political career as well as Nawaz Sharif’s and Asif Zardari’s.

“Look at Maulana’s statement, you can understand the frustration, exhaustion, and defeat hidden in it. This time Maulana made a suicide attack on his own, Nawaz Sharif, and Zardari’s politics that his generations will also feel the pain. They ousted Imran Khan on a conspiracy. The effort cost them a lot,” Fawad Chaudhry tweeted.

What did Maulan Fazlur Rehman say?

In a video statement, Maulana Fazlur Rehman claimed that the international media is extending support to Imran Khan after the former premier condemned the attack on the author of the blasphemous book, Salman Rushdie.

He also asked the United Nations (UN) on which ground the UN is expressing sympathy with Imran Khan. The JUI-F supremo said that after the PTI Chairman condemned the attack on Rushdie, the world institutions started to mount pressure on Pakistan.

Moreover, he accused the state institutions of delaying action against former prime minister Imran Khan over his “unlimited corruption, prohibited funding, and rebellious disobedience”, saying that the state institutions were under “tremendous international pressure”.
