Video of female dancer at PML-Q event goes viral

The video was shared by singer Salman Ahmed, since then the video went viral on social media.

Video of the female dancer from the event of PML-Q has been making rounds on social media since yesterday. The video is old and has resurfaced online.

The video shows a female professional dancer dancing to the Sufi folk song Dama Dam Mast Qalandar sung by Shazia Kushk. The video shows Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Mushahid Hussain enjoying the dance.

The video was shared by singer Salman Ahmed, since then the video went viral on social media. Netizens condemned the style of celebration by PMLQ. According to netizens, the video is at least seven years old. They shamed the party for inviting a female dancer to the event.

Some argued that despite being the video old the style of celebration is condemnable and perhaps such a mindset should be condemned.

Chaudhry Shujaat is in contention with his party members over supporting Pervez Ilahi as a candidate for Chief Minister of Punjab against Hamza Shehbaz. According to Ch Shujaat, he would have supported Pervez Illahi if he was the candidate of PDM for Chief Minister. Reports say, he refused to support Pervez Ilahi being the candidate of Imran Khan and PTI for Punjab’s Chief Ministership.

The case is currently being fought in the court after Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari had refused to count the votes of PML-Q upon the alleged letter of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. Deputy Speaker Mazari declared PMLN’s Hamza Shehbaz the Chief Minister of Punjab.

Following the election of Hamza Shehbaz, PMLN praised the support provided by Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. He, however, received flak on social media for supporting PDM. Netizens expressed anger on Shujaat Hussain for allegedly siding with PMLN and betraying Pervez Ilahi. People said Hussain turned PTI, a majority in Punjab Assembly, into a minority. The mandate and vote of the people were disrespected in the Punjab Assembly following a twist in the election of the Chief Minister for Punjab.
