Videos of Lt Gen Faiz Hameed put to task at PMA go viral

Lt General Faiz Hameed was appointed as the Bahawalpur Corps Commander in August 2022. He previously served as the Peshawar Corps Commander after being appointed to the office in October 2021.

Videos of Lt. General Faiz Hameed reliving his military training days at Pakistan Military Academy Kakul are making rounds on social media.

The video was shared from the PMA reunion. It shows Lt. Gen Faiz Hameed standing straight for the inspection at PMA along with his batchmates. He presented himself for inspection. The staff of PMA is heard hilariously saying that he needs a haircut. In a video, the PMA officer is ordering staff to take him to the barber’s shop and transform him from Waheed Murad to Najam Sethi.

The videos show serving army generals are put to task by staff at the PMA Kakul. Staff scold Lt General Faiz Hameed for smiling at the morning parade. Staff also inspect the posture and marching style of the army officers. The videos are gaining massive traction on social media as social media users enjoy the light-hearted video.  General Syed Adnan is also seen being scolded by the staff at PMA Kakul.

Lt General Faiz Hameed was appointed as the Bahawalpur Corps Commander in August 2022. He previously served as the Peshawar Corps Commander after being appointed to the office in October 2021 after serving as the director-general of the Inter-Services Public Relations. He was appointed as the DG ISI in 2019. Faiz Hameed serves as the DG ISI for two years. He had previously served in the ISI as the head of internal security and belongs to Baloch Regiment.

Last year, his pictures of having tea in Kabul, Afghanistan went viral on social media. Netizens shared a picture of then DG ISI General Faiz Hameed having tea in Kabul, Afghanistan with the popular line ‘Tea is fantastic’ on social media. Along with the picture, netizens recalled the popular statement of Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman, ‘Tea is Fantastic’ after he was arrested by Pakistan Army in 2019.
