Wife and daughter of PTI MNA Saadullah Baloch abducted: Hammad Azhar

In a tweet on Wednesday evening, he shared a video of a voice note in which a man can be heard informing him.

Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf (PTI) leader Hammad Azhar claims that the female family members of PTI’s MNA Saadullah Baloch have been abducted by unknown men.

In a tweet on Wednesday evening, he shared a video of a voice note in which a man can be heard informing him that the female family of Saad Baloch including his wife, daughter and another family member have been picked up by unknown men from their house.

“Wife, the daughter of our Member National Assembly Saadullah Baloch has been kidnapped by unknown people,” said Hammad Azhar in a tweet. The man in audio clip claims to be the brother of Saad Baloch.

Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf condemned the kidnapping of the family of Saad Baloch. They have demanded the authorities to safely recover his family.

“The dire state of declining democracy and human rights continues under the military-backed regime in Pakistan. Unknown men have abducted the wife, daughter, and aunt of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Member of National Assembly, Saadullah Baloch! This is a tactic to pressure PTI members to switch sides and vote in favor of the ruling elite for passing unconstitutional amendments and bills. This is next-level madness, and never in the history of Pakistan has the country witnessed such brutality being used against its own people by state institutions. ‎ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!,” said Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf in its latest tweet.

An official statement from Saad Baloch regarding the situation is awaited. However, the news comes at a time when a dozen of PTI leaders were arrested from a raid at Parliament House on Monday night following the party’s huge rally at Sangjani, Islamabad.

Barrister Gohar was released on Tuesday but rest of the leaders have been sent on a eight-day judicial remand. The decision has been challenged in Islamabad High Court. A day earlier, news circulated regarding the abduction of CM KPK Ali Amin Gandapur after he went out of contact for eight hours.
