Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf’s Parliamentary Secretary for Law and Justice Barrister Maleeka Bokhari has been selected as the World Economic Forum Young Global Leader for five years.
The Young Global Leaders of the World Economic Forum is a dynamic community consisting of 1400 members from 140 countries. Ministry of Law and Justice informed on Wednesday. The concept of the Young Global Leaders is to bring a positive change in the society through vision, influence, and courage.

Maleeka Bokhari expressed delight in being selected as the Young Global Leader. She is proactively pursuing the case of disqualification of former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani in the Election Commission of Pakistan.

In her tweet, she thanked the World Economic Forum for selecting her as the Young Global Leader 2021. Later she took to Twitter and showed gratitude over receiving love and appreciation from her advocates. “Touched by all the messages of acknowledgement & support from everyone honoured & extremely thankful! I’m proud to represent my beloved Pakistan at the @wef as a Young Global Leader for 2021,” wrote Bokhari on Twitter.

Maleeka Bokhari is leading the government’s law reform agenda and part of the legal team drafting the action plan for the women’s injustice system.

She has over 10 years of professional legal experience in London and Pakistan. Additionally, she is drafting several other legislations with Federal Minister of Law and Justice Dr. Farogh Naseem. She obtained her LLB Hons in 2007 and was awarded Helena Kennedy QC Scholarship Award for her academic achievements.
She completed the Bar Vocational Course and was called to the Bar of England and Wales as a Queen Mother Scholar thereafter.
Throughout her career, she has represented multinational corporations, financial institutions, nonprofit organizations, local companies, and government entities and has provided legal advice on complex commercial contracts, joint ventures, and labor laws. Maleeka Bokhari is the only Pakistani to have been selected as the Young Global Leaders 2021.
