Youth is not ill-informed but passionate, idealist: Imran Khan

A statement that youth is ‘Ill-Informed’ got immense traction on social media. He said that youth is passionate and lives in utopia. Adding that as you age you become realist and loses the courage and will to dream. 

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan says that the youth of Pakistan is not ill-informed but they are idealist, in his first-ever podcast on Thursday.

Imran Khan was asked about the recent statements that were passed regarding the role of youth of Pakistan. A statement that youth is ‘Ill-Informed’ got immense traction on social media. He said that youth is passionate and lives in utopia. Adding that as you age you become realist and loses the courage and will to dream.

Muzammil Hasan said that the statements were quite depressing for the youth who thought that they were discounted and their work and thoughts are irrelevant.

He was also asked about the representation of youth within his government and party. Muzammil Hasan said that though he came with the power of youth his party engaged less with the youth for the solutions of the problems.

Imran Khan said calling youth is wrong and condescending. He said mostly the revolutions are led by youth. He said the idealism that youth posses is necessary to bring the change in the society. He said firmly believes that youth will wipe out the existing government and ruling elites in the coming elections. Regarding the representation of youth in his government he said that members like Murad Saeed, Ali Muhammad Khan and Farrukh Habib came from ISF and reached the top. At the end of the day, its not just passion that should guide when selecting the minister but the capability to deliver and has control over governance must be prioritized. Hence, Murad Saeed was given two ministries.

He was asked other questions too like his views on relations with America.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he had good relations with Trump Administration. He made the comments while talking on a podcast hosted by popular social media influencer and vlogger Junaid Akram.

While talking about the controversial foreign conspiracy against him, Imran Khan said he was ousted as he wanted an independent foreign policy for Pakistan. He then clarified that an independent foreign policy does not mean being “anti-American”.
