2019 most peaceful year of Pakistan’s recent history, Fawad Chaudhry

The Minister said the cricket has returned to Pakistan after many years and all matches of PSL will also be held in the country. The minister has rightly highlighted the milestones Pakistan achieved last year after years of agonizing efforts to restore peace and stability. 2019 was the most peaceful year of Pakistan’s recent history, says, Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhary.

In a tweet on Tuesday, he said tourism has doubled in our country. The Minister said the cricket has returned to Pakistan after many years and all matches of PSL will also be held in the country.

He said the successes in the field of science and technology are also a significant one. Fawad Chaudhary said Pakistan gave a befitting response to Indian aggression after the Pulwama incident.

The minister has rightly highlighted the milestones Pakistan achieved last year after years of agonizing efforts to restore peace and stability in the country in the face of monstrous terrorism-a biggest detriment to the economy and stability of Pakistan.

The improved security situation bolstered tourism, bringing to the world’s attention the mesmerizing and ethereal beauty of the country.

Top Travel Destination

Pakistan is classed as the top traveling destination for 2020 by Travel Company Wild Frontiers. The successful and vibrant trip of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge has helped the country to recuperate its status as a safe and enthralling tourist destination.

For the past couple of months, the international media is raving for the country’s potential for tourism. A couple of international media reports had declared Pakistan the best tourist destination for 2019 and recent optimistic reports hint that it will continue to be branded as the top tourist destination for 2020 as well.

Recently, Forbes has become the latest publication to include Pakistan in the list of “10 Best-Under-The-Radar Trips” for the 2020 list, touting its northern areas the ultimate location for adventure seekers. It has joined Conde Nast Traveler and British Backpacker Society to declare Pakistan as the top tourist destination for 2020.

Travel Advisory Report

British High Commission declared Pakistan safe for visit and travel for its citizens in the latest travel advisory report. The positive travel advice for Pakistan is attributed to its improved security situation.

The government of Pakistan including Prime Minister Imran Khan overwhelmingly welcomed the encouraging outlook of the British High Commission for Pakistan. Following the UK, the USA also noted an improvement in the security situation of Pakistan in its latest travel advisory report.

The latest travel advisory reports are a boon for the formative tourism sector of Pakistan, which is undergoing a phase of extensive development and upgrade.

The substantial upgrade in travel advice by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office followed a comprehensive analysis of Pakistan’s security situation.

However, country has significantly expanded its tourist influx in the past two years.

For the international community, significant events like the inauguration of Kartarpur Corridor and visit of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William, and Kate Middleton altered the tightly-held perspective on the country from a ‘dangerous’ to a ‘safe’ country.

Moreover, the visit of the Sri Lankan cricket team for a formal cricket series marked the return of international cricket after more than a decade followed by a tour of the Bangladeshi cricket team. International cricket suspended in the country following the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore in 2007.

Now, PCB is set to host the entire fifth edition of PSL in Pakistan expected to start in 9 days.
