Alia Bhatt’s latest song imitates Vital Signs’s ‘Goray Rang Ka Zamana’

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt began her music career with a song ‘Prada’, that is similar to Junaid Jamshed’s ‘Goray Rang ka Zamana’. The actress featured the Lamborghini famed singer ‘The Doorbeen’.

Bhatt shared the video of the song on her Instagram account. Within a few days, Prada has become the most popular song in town and has crossed the 18 million mark on YouTube.

Alia Bhatt asserted she has received an overwhelming response to the song from her industry friends. Asked about boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor’s reaction, she answered, “Ranbir loved it. He told me that I have natural swag. I played it for Karan Johar, he also loved it. I played it for Baadshah and he told me that he was so happy. Badshah said kya gaana hai yaar!”

In the video Alia Bhatt has been shown as an avatar of the fashionista, demanding girlfriend. She is seen flaunting a glamorous attitude in various high-end brands. As the lyrics suggest, Alia Bhatt is shown as a high maintenance girlfriend who would only talk to her boyfriend if he gets her stuff from ‘Prada’

Reactions to the Song

While the song was liked by many, it received criticism from various people on social media. Various people disliked the song for promoting materialism, whereas others asserted that The Doorbeen lacks originality, asserting that they failed to mention that they took aspirations from old folks songs like ‘Koi sehri babu’, ‘Kalay rang da paranda’ and ‘Goray rang ka zamana’.

The song has been designed by the Lamborghini fame duo. The singers asserted that it was motivating to have Alia Bhatt on the project since it provided validation, and it was important to have such validation.

“We are still figuring out what path to follow, and once we get a single from the pros in the business, we will go on that path and that validation is very important,” they said.

Alia Bhatt’s Upcoming Projects

On the other hand, Alia Bhatt is venturing for a few interesting projects lined up for next year. Alia Bhatt is busy with dad Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2 and Brahmastra. Her film Takht that stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Jahnvi Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Bhumi Pednekar, is expected to go on the screen soon. Apart from this, she has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah, along with Salman Khan as well. This will be her first film with Salman.

“Sadak 2’s shooting has begun; Brahmastra also is on, more or less almost over as well. The film is going to be out next summer. So yeah next year is again going to be a very exciting year for me because you know working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the first time, working with Salman for the first time, working with Ranbir [Kapoor] for the first time, Ayan [Mukerji] for the first time, Mr. Bachchan, like a lot of first times and my dad for the first time. So next year is actually going to be super super super special and I really hope it goes well,” said the actress while expressing her excitement over her upcoming project.
