Andrew Tate’s Racist Comment on Diljit Dosanjh Sparks Backlash

Controversial influencer Andrew Tate ignited outrage with a racist remark about Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh, who was seen gifting his jacket to a fan during a concert.

Controversial British-American influencer Andrew Tate has sparked outrage once again due to a racist comment he made in response to a video featuring Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh. The video, shared widely on social media, shows Dosanjh gifting his jacket to an emotional female fan during his 2024 India Tour concert in Delhi, with her husband also visibly touched by the gesture.

However, the heartfelt moment was tarnished by Tate’s offensive comment on a post on X, where he wrote, “Bet it stinks of curry,” referring to the gifted jacket. The term “curry” is often used derogatorily to stereotype South Asians as unhygienic, perpetuating harmful clichés about their food and culture.

Tate’s comment sparked backlash from Dosanjh’s fans and the Indian diaspora. One fan fired back, “Diljit is a million times the man you are, baldy human trafficker—your joke isn’t funny,” alluding to Tate’s ongoing legal troubles related to human trafficking. Another user jabbed, “Still smells better than sexual misconduct,” referencing Tate’s past controversies.

Even some of Tate’s supporters were quick to defend Dosanjh. One follower remarked, “Andrew, I respected you a lot, but I have to say, STFU for this one.” Many pointed out Tate’s decline in reputation, with one comment summing it up: “Andrew Tate becoming a rage-baiting reply guy is the craziest fall-off I’ve ever seen in a famous person.”

Diljit Dosanjh, however, appears unfazed by the remark, as neither he nor his team has responded to Andrew Tate’s comment. Dosanjh is set to continue his Dil-Luminati India Tour, performing in nine more cities after Delhi throughout November and December.
