Asad Qaiser meets Kurulus Osman actor, makes important announcement

Speaker of National Assembly Asad Qaiser meets Turkish actor Burak Ozcivit who is playing Osman in the serial Kurulus Osman.

Qaiser took to Twitter and shared the photo with him. In the caption of the post, he wrote: “It was a pleasure to met with @burakozcivit from #KurulusOsman. I thoroughly enjoy watching period pieces in the little time I get. Hoping Kurulus: Osman to be another memorable watch.”

He also visited the set of Kurulus Osman. Kurulus Osman is the sequel to the famous Turkish serial, Dirilis Ertugrul. In another post, he appreciated the producers and director of the series for making an epic series like Kurulus Osman.

“I must appreciate @mmehmetbozdag for penning down a masterpiece like #KurulusOsman . Thank you for navigating us through the sets. It has been an incredible experience,” wrote Qaiser on Twitter in another post. Asad Qaiser announced that the production team of Dirilis Ertugrul is expected to visit Pakistan after Eid.

The development came during Asad Qaiser’s visit to Turkey to attend the 4th Conference of Speakers of Parliaments on “Countering Terrorism & Strengthening Regional Connectivity” in Antalya.

The series has been a smashing hit in Pakistan with the national broadcaster, PTV showing the series in Urdu translation.

As per the report released late last year, Pakistan Television (PTV) has earned a huge profit of Rs.42 crore from the broadcast of the Turkish series, Dirilis Ertugrul.

According to a fashion magazine, Diva Magazine, the state-run channel has earned immense profits from its telecast in Urdu dubbing. The state-run television telecasted the show on the recommendations of Prime Minister Imran Khan. The show began its broadcast in April-May this year that coincided with the coronavirus lockdown in the country.

It is a serialized tv production by Turkish Radio and TV (TRT-1) and was the first broadcast in December 2014. Given its huge popularity, it kept increasing its episodes.

The exact number is not known because Turkish episodes are often of a duration of two hours, but Netflix cut it to 42-45 minutes per episode, and most sources describe a total of 150 episodes – however, given that 5th Season is about to be released the actual number may be much bigger.
