Skipper Babar Azam gives a witty response to the criticism by television show host Aftab Iqbal. In a video circulating on social media, Aftab Iqbal criticized Babar Azam.

He said he does not consider Babar Azam a ‘star player because he has got ‘ego issues with other players in the team. Iqbal added that he is not criticizing him for dropping catches or ‘not scoring’ but because of his behavior and attitude toward other players in the team. He questioned the captaincy skills of Babar Azam.

The video of Aftab Iqbal got viral and received condemnation on Twitter. In a press conference, a sports journalist asked Babar Azam to comment on the statements of Aftab Iqbal. The journalist said that players, including Babar Azam, are appreciated when the team wins the match; criticism follows when the team performs poorly. The journalist mentioned the statements of Aftab Iqbal and asked how hurting it is to hear such statements.
