Bakhtawar Bhutto’s emerald green dress on reception was made in 800 hours

Bakhtawar Bhutto looked elegant in a green dress that caught the attention of social media users.

The emerald green reception dress of Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari took eight hundred hours to be completed, reveals the designer of the dress. Bakhtawar had donned a heavily embellished green dress on her reception on Saturday last week.

Bakhtawar Bhutto looked elegant in a green dress that caught the attention of social media users. She wore a raw silk kurta shalwar covered in traditional gota work, zardozi, and lappa. The outfit was created by an emerging designer from Lahore named, Haris Ahmed.

The designer shared the details of the outfit on the official Instagram account. “We are privileged to design this traditional shalwar kameez for Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari, daughter of former President Mr. Asif Ali Zardari and late Benazir Bhutto, on her reception day at Bilawal House,” wrote the couturier.

He added, “An ethereal and breathtaking; a simply stunning look; the creation of the masterpiece, harmoniously blending ace craftsmanship with the utmost design and precision to create looks that are the epitome of elegance and truly timeless in appeal.”

Ahmed concluded, “Our team has worked over 800 development hours to bring this precious masterpiece, defined by the finest quality of hand-woven couture produced by zardozi (the art of gold sewing) layered with the sucha gota (real gota). Intricate twist of glistening threads accentuates the design and reflects creativity that reinvents the traditional aesthetic.”

To support the designer, Bakhtawar re-shared the post on her Instagram account. “Even prouder to represent and wear beautiful traditional gota work by the most talented artisans,” said Bhutto.

Bakhtawar had received appreciation on social media for supporting the local designers and artisans. The newlywed Bakhtawar looked radiantly beautiful at her Nikkah ceremony. She tied the knot with her fiancé, Mahmood Chaudhry, in an intimate ceremony on Friday. The bride was accompanied by brother Bilawal Bhutto Zardari – chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party.

Bhutto shared an emotional message on Bakhtawar’s wedding on social media. “Happiest moment in many years to see my sister Bakhtawar getting married.”

She wore an ivory golden dress on her Nikkah ceremony. She wore a dress from a Karachi-based designer, Wardah Saleem. Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari paid tribute to her mother, Benazir Bhutto, through her Mehndi dress. The bride wore a dress from the renowned designer, Zara Shah Jahan, on her Mehndi.
