Pakistan is also expected to announce its squad today. The PCB selection committee faces challenges following the recently concluded Asia Cup 2022. Though Pakistan ended up a runners-up team, it also exposed the weaknesses in the team- the collapse of the middle-order batting line, out-of-form Babar Azam, and inconsistent performance from Fakhar Zaman, Khushdil Shah, and Iftikhar Ahmed.

PCB is likely to announce the team today for the series against England, the tri-nation series in New Zealand, and T20 World Cup 2022 coming up next month. Sports journalists claim Shan Masood is highly likely to make a place in the squad of the Pakistan Cricket Team. Shaheen Shah Afridi is also undergoing rigorous training following his knee injury. Fans are also expecting to get skipper Babar Azam to get in his form again before the beginning of the busy cricket season.
