Following the broadcast of Dirilis Ertugrul, Kurulus Osman has amassed a colossal audience in Pakistan. According to the reports released by the internet giant, Google, Kurulus Osman- the sequel of Dirilis Ertugrul was also among the top Google Search Trends in Pakistan. The serial secured the eighth position in the category of most searched/wanted TV series in Pakistan.
Kurulus Osman is already in its second season. The episodes of the season in English and Urdu subtitles are available on various websites in Pakistan.
The series depicts the struggle of Osman-the founder of the Ottoman Empire. Turkish actor Burak Ozcivit is playing the lead character of Osman, son of Ertugrul Ghazi, in the series.
Earlier, the Pakistani audience expressed shock at the death of the character of Ertugrul Gazi in the previous episode of Kurulus Osman.
Humongous reactions poured in on social media from Pakistani audiences who have been following the show, Kurulus Osman. The Turkish serial is the continuation of Dirilis Ertugrul and depicts the story of Osman I, the founder of the Ottoman Empire.
The Pakistani audience expressed grief on the death of Ertugrul Gazi on Twitter. Turkish actor, Tamer Yigit had played Ertugrul Bey in Kurulus Osman. Pakistani audience had developed a liking for the show with the broadcast of Dirilis Ertugrul on state-run television, PTV.
Actors Didem Balcin (Selcan Hatun) and Nurettin Sonmez (Bamsi Bey) have been appearing in Kurulus Osman as well.
Sonmez also posted an emotional post on Instagram following the broadcast of the episode featuring the death of Ertugrul Bey.
