Fawad Khan and Deepika Padukone to share stage in Dubai

Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is set to share the stage with ‘Padmaavat’ star Deepika Padukone in Dubai in a fashion show. The two will walk the ramp down together for the finest Indian designer Manish Malhotra on March 30th, Friday in UAE.

Both the stars last shared the same stage in 2016 at the Lakme Fashion Week. The couple as showstopper exuded sizzling chemistry on stage. The pictures from the glamorous event wooed social media users.

Other actors including Mehwish Hayat, Karan Johar, Jackie Shroff, Vidya Balan will join Fawad Khan and Deepika Padukone in the event. Irrfan Khan was also going to be a part of the event but will be missing it since he is undergoing Neuroendocrine Tumor treatment in the UK.

Fawad Khan and Deepika Padukone, both earlier expressed their desire to work together in a movie. According to one rumor, Deepika Padukone recommended Fawad Khan for Maharawal Ratan Singh in ‘Padmaavat’. She is said to have arranged a private meeting between Fawad Khan and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Fawad Khan earlier said, “I would be very excited to work with Deepika. It would be an amazing experience. I am very excited and enthusiastic about it. It would be the two right words to describe my feelings about our collaboration.”

A source had said back then, “Deepika personally arranged for a meeting between Sanjay and Fawad. The two met and had a cordial chat. However, nothing came out of it. Sanjay did not see Fawad in the role of Deepika’s husband.”

Nevertheless, audiences from either side of the borders are wishing to see the star actors coming together as a couple in a movie. Fawad Khan has already proved his mettle in movies like ‘Khoobsorat’, ‘Kapoor and sons’ and ‘Ae DIl Hai Mushkil’. Deepika Padukone was last seen in the movie ‘Padmaavat’.
