Oscar-winning filmmaker Guy Nattiv, who played a key role in bringing the movie to the United States, emphasized the importance of showcasing the footage, stating, “As a filmmaker, I swore that these images of October 7 would not be forgotten, and the world would see them.”

While Gal Gadot has not released a statement on the matter, she is facing backlash on social media for not addressing the Palestinian death toll and the challenges faced by those living in Gaza. Some users criticized her, with one stating, “Gal Gadot, the propaganda girl of Israel-sponsored terrorism,” while another remarked, “Gal Gadot went from ‘Imagine’ to ‘Genocide’ pretty quick.”

Calls for a boycott of the screening and criticism of celebrities attending the event have also emerged online. The Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee are reportedly assisting in planning the screenings.

The controversy surrounding Gadot’s involvement has sparked a heated online debate about the portrayal of the conflict and the role of celebrities in such sensitive matters. Gaza is receiving widespread support on social media as well as internationally with massive demonstrations being organized across the world.
