IIOJK people observe strike on Indian Independence Day

Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over are observing the Indian Independence Day as Black Day to convey the message to the international community that they reject India’s illegal occupation of their motherland.

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, people have observed a complete shutdown on India’s Independence Day to give a message to India and the world that they reject India’s illegal occupation of their homeland.

Call for strike was given by the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, the Mirwaiz Umar Farooq-led Hurriyat forum and supported by almost all Hurriyat leaders and organizations.

Meanwhile, the occupation authorities continued to impose strict restrictions across the territory to prevent people from holding anti-India demonstrations Saturday. The authorities have converted the Kashmir Valley, particularly Srinagar, into a military garrison by deploying Indian troops and police personnel in every nook and corner.

The Kashmiris across the world will hold anti-India demonstration in from of Indian embassies to draw the world attention towards the Indian brutalities in the occupied territory.

The veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, in a message referring to India’s illegal occupation over Jammu and Kashmir said that a nation that resorts to usurpation and deprives others of their freedoms, loses every right to celebrate its freedom.

Pakistan’s independence day celebrated in Srinagar

Earlier, on the occasion of Pakistan’s independence day, posters were put to display in Occupied Kashmir to celebrate the day.

According to media reports, the posters were put to display in Occupied Kashmir to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day. Hurriyat leaders and various parties announced to celebrate August 14 with enthusiasm.

Hurriyat leaders said that Pakistan Independence Day should be celebrated as thanksgiving day at the valley.

These posters were inscribed with slogans as “We are Pakistani, Pakistan is ours”. The posters were also inscribed with “Indian Independence Day as “Black Day” and what we want is freedom”.

Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gillani and Mir Waaz Umer Farooq appealed to observe Indian Independence Day August 15 as “Black Day” and complete strike in the valley.
