The crowd’s reaction to his arrival was sensational, and it is a testament to Imran Khan’s unmatched popularity. Almost the entire city was out on the streets in the wee hours of Saturday celebrating Imran Khan’s legal victory and waiting for his arrival in Lahore.

Even at 3 am, thousands were on the streets waiting for Imran Khan. As soon as his convoy arrived in Lahore, the crowd gathered around it and showered rose petals, and chanted slogans in favor of Imran Khan.
Videos of the sensational scenes went viral on social media. PTI leaders also thanked Lahore for giving such a warm welcome to Imran Khan.

The reason behind Imran Khan’s popularity is not hard to fathom. The former Prime Minister has always been vocal about his vision for a better Pakistan, and his efforts towards that end have been widely appreciated. The past four days have been very happening in Pakistan when Imran Khan was arrested in the Al-Qadir Trust case. After his arrest, PTI supporters took to the streets and even clashed with the police authorities. Furthermore, state and military buildings were also attacked, and even set on fire.
After Imran Khan received multiple bails and was released, Pakistan erupted in celebrations. Imran Khan’s supporters even made sure to escort him all the way to Lahore from Islamabad to make sure he reaches safely. There is no doubt that Imran Khan’s street power remains unmatched.
