Jahangir Tareen reveals spokespersons for his new party

Jahangir Tareen revealed the names of the nominated spokespersons who will play a crucial role in shaping and disseminating his party's narrative.

Estranged PTI leader Jahangir Khan Tareen has recently launched his new political party Istehkam-i-Pakistan Party (IPP) and has been making speedy appointments.

Jahangir Tareen, a sugar baron, last week launched the IPP to “give a new direction to politics and take the country forward with a strong economy”.

Jahangir Tareen revealed the names of the nominated spokespersons who will play a crucial role in shaping and disseminating his party’s narrative. These individuals will be responsible for articulating the party’s stance on various issues, interacting with the media, and connecting with the public.

The list includes ex PTI loyalists like Ishaq Khan Khakwani, Saeed Akbar Nawani, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Fayyazul Hassan Chohan, Murad Raas retired Maj Khurram Rokhri. They will represent IPP on all media platforms.

These spokespersons, among others, will work collectively to project the party’s ideology, vision, and policy objectives to the public. They will engage with the media, conduct press briefings, and participate in public forums to ensure effective communication and transparency. Jahangir Tareen’s decision to reveal the spokespersons for his new party marks an essential step in its organizational development.

Prior to this, Jahangir Tareen said that Abdul Aleem Khan will be the President of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan party, while Amir Mahmood Kiyani will be the Secretary-General and Auwn Chaudhary will be the Additional Secretary General and Spokesperson of the party as well as the Patron-in-Chief.

All three of these politicians held important posts in PTI before they switched camps. In 2016, PTI appointed Aleem Khan as President of the party’s central Punjab chapter. Amir Mahmood Kiyani, an old confidant of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, was the federal minister of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination. Auwn Chaudhary, another figure thought to be a very close aide of Imran Khan’s, previously served as Chief Coordinator to the Chief Minister of former Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
