Mahira Khan waved goodbye to Cannes Film Festival

Pakistani actress Mahira Khan wrote a heartfelt message as she waved goodbye to the world’s most prestigious film festival, the Cannes Film Festival. Mahira Khan, who made her debut at 71st Cannes Film Festival this year, garnered attention and immense appreciation from her fans. She attended the festival as the face of the beauty brand L’Oreal Paris.

The fashion analysts who had their eyes on the debutant were awestricken with her poise. Mahira Khan turned heads as she walked down the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival. She sparkled in a blue-black dress with red lipstick. It did not seem like her first walk on the red carpet.

Mahira Khan was present at the Cannes Film Festival from 14th May to17th May. Her photographs and videos from Cannes set ablaze social media in the past three days as fans were intrigued to find out details about her stay. From photo shoots to walking the red carpet, Mahira Khan rubbed shoulders with two Bollywood divas, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor.

On May 17th, Mahira Khan posted a black and white picture of her on Instagram with a long sentimental message in the caption.

She wrote, “Oh Cannes you have a piece of my heart! Thank you for taking us in with open arms, you were warm and generous. I wish I could pen down my entire experience but that’ll be a long love letter for another time.”

“As I sat in the car, on my way to the airport, I realized that I felt more empowered than ever before. And the reason was that of the amazing women that I met over the last three days.”

Mahira said she has become more empowered after her life-enriching visit to the Cannes Film Festival. Referring to her meet-ups with Aishwarya Rai and Sonam Kapoor, Mahira remarked that an empowered woman has a unique quality of uplifting another woman.

She added, “All these talented women had one thing in common – they lifted each other up. They were supportive and kind. They had each other’s backs. And that is the only (if any) key to success. ”

Mahira said, “It’s a relief, when it is your first time on the red carpet with hundreds of people photographing you, to get a ‘you’ve got this’ from the girl who’s done this like a dream so many times.”

“It was even more amazing to get all these lovely messages from my industry back home. The best family and friends one could ask for. Aah and my fan family, how I love thee!” she said in conclusion.
