Maryam Nawaz, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman to not attend wedding of Bakhtawar Bhutto

The absence of Maryam Nawaz and Fazl-ur-Rehman at the wedding ceremony of Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari hints at the purported political difference between PDM members.

PML-N leader, Maryam Nawaz and Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman to not attend the wedding of Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari revealed the party sources on Monday.

Party leader, Muhammad Zubair, asserted that Maryam Nawaz will not be able to attend the wedding due to other engagements. The wedding ceremony is scheduled for January 30th in Karachi. According to reports, PPP has invited top politicians of the country to the wedding. However, JUI-F leader Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman has denied receiving a wedding invitation. When asked if he will be attending the wedding ceremony, Maulana said he has not been invited to the wedding of Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari.

The absence of Maryam Nawaz and Fazl-ur-Rehman at the wedding ceremony of Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari hints at the purported political difference between the members of the Pakistan Democratic Movement. The news of rift between the PDM members has been circulating in the media.

Meanwhile, the wedding celebrations of Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari had begun this weekend with Mehfil-e-Milad. Earlier, the PPP officials had revealed the unconfirmed wedding date of Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari. According to the speculations, the wedding festivities had to start from 27th January 2021.

However, no official statement has been revealed from the Bilawal House. Bakhtawar Bhutto is the daughter of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and former president Asif Ali Zardari. She is also the sister of the chairperson of PPP- Bilawal Bhutto.

PPP leaders claim the Nikkah ceremony will be on January 29th and Valima ceremony on January 30th. Groom-to-be Mahmood Chaudhry has also reached Karachi from Dubai on Thursday night. The location of the wedding and further details have not been revealed yet.

The couple exchanged rings on November 27th. Bakhtawar took to her Twitter account and shared the images herself, while a few images were released by Pakistan People’s Party media cell on social media. The images gave a brief glimpse of an intimate engagement ceremony. According to reports, only 150 people attended the ceremony.
