Pakistani singer Ali Sethi, son of a popular journalist, Najam Sethi, came under fire for a boorish body shaming of a Twitter user who asked his originality.

A Twitter user had asked how many original songs does Ali Sethi has produced because he mostly produces covers of existing popular songs. Her comments came on the backlash on Taher Shah’s latest release ‘Farishta’.

“At least Taher Shah comes up with originals every time. Can we say the same about Ali Sethi?” wrote the Twitter user.

Ali Sethi retorted with a rude comment. “Uhh, I released six original songs last year, but ofc this troll auntie knows better,” replied Ali Sethi. His response showed that he was unable to handle the criticism gracefully.

His rude comments stoked a whirlwind of criticism on social media. A score of social media users rallied in to support the female Twitter user that singer shamed.

He then shot back at another Twitter user who asked him to share the titles of his six original songs.

“Ali Bhai which six original songs are you talking about? I don’t want to listen to them but I’d like to know,” wrote the social media user.

The merciless social media trolls bullied him and his father, Najam Sethi. Some said that he only got the opportunity in the media industry through nepotism and not on his singing skills.

A few days ago, Ali Sethi was in the news for exchanging slurs with an online viewer. Social media user abused him during a live session on Instagram, Ali Sethi, too abused his entire family and kin in his response.

However, at that time, his followers loved his response of schooling a troll but this time they are extremely annoyed by his arrogance.
