Nawaz Returned to Residence after London Bridge Hospital was Sealed

Reports reveal that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was near the London stabbing incident site when the Police sealed off the area, prompting him to return back to his Avenfield residence.

Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo, Nawaz Sharif had to return back from the London Bridge Hospital. The ailing former Premier was scheduled to undergo a medical test, however, the police sealed the area after reports of a knife attack and a shooting on Friday afternoon.

Sharif was on his way to the London Bridge Hospital to undergo a scan when the Metropolitan Police issued an alert with regards to the stabbing incident that occurred at the London Bridge, where two gunshots had also been heard.

The London Bridge Hospital, where Sharif has been going for regular check-ups, is located at a half a mile distance from the site of the stabbing incident. The former premier returned back from the site and went back to his family residence in Avenfield, Park Lane.

Murtaza Ali Shah, reporter for prominent News Channels, shared, “Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is stuck in traffic just few meters away from the shooting site in London Bridge area where the police killed a man brandishing a knife; 5 casualties reported; counter terror units take over investigation.”

Shah added, “London Bridge sealed off after reports of shooting, underground station closed. Police moves in after reports of shooting. Former PM Nawaz Sharif getting scans done at today at the London Bridge’s Guy’s hospital. He arrived 20 minutes ago.”

The Metropolitan Police revealed that they were called to a stabbing incident at a site near the London Bridge shortly before 1400 GMT, and added that a man had been detained. Initial reports emerging from the British capital said five people had been injured while one had been shot dead by the police.

However, the London Ambulance Service dubbed it a “major incident”. The stabbing incident stirred panic and terror amongst the people present at the site and men and women were seen fleeing the area surrounding the London Bridge. The London Transport Authority shut down the London Bridge tube station and bus stop.
